Champagne Jules Brochet is a young domain, created in 2019 by Pierric Brochet, who hails from a family of winemakers.
Following his studies and training in viticulture and oenology, Pierric took over his family’s vineyards and acquired several additional plots. He named the domain Champagne Jules Brochet in homage to his great grandfather.
He works across 4.5 hectares of vines inTaissy, Mailly Champagne, Ay, Rilly la Montagne and Barzy sur Marne, farming organically.
The philosophy in the vineyard is lutte raisonnéeand naturalistic, in search of the right balance with the environment.
Drawing inspiration from his training under Jacques Selosse, Pierric focuses on the expression of terroir and uses different winemaking methods to reveal the typicities of his estate’s different parcels, letting the wine express itself freely during its long barrelaging on the lees, with minimal intervention.
