As the name implies, Domaine Boigey-Frères is run by two brothers, Guillaume and Olivier, who hail from one of the oldest winemaking families in the Vosne.
The estate under its current title was formed in 2018 and is made up of 3.15 hectares of vines that have been gradually taken back as the family’s share-cropping leases expire.Today, it is spread across six appellations: two villages, three Premier Crus and one Grand Cru Echézeaux, and includes the famous Vosne-Romanée “Aux Jachées” from vines planted just behind Bizot.
The vines are cultivated with the utmost respect for nature, and in accordance with the weather and the earth. Grapes are manually harvested, macerated for 7 to 9 days without stems, then vinified with indigenous yeasts before being barrel aged (30-50% new wood) for 12-16 months and finally polish filtered before bottling.
Guillaume and Olivier aim to make wines that are fruit forward in style with a mouthfeel that combines finesse and balance.
