The origins of Domaine Gros CH & Fils technically date back from the union of two families, André Gros and Renée Faiveley, both who have a rich heritage of winemaking that dates back to the early 1700s.
Since 2018, the estate has been managed by the 10th generation: Julien and Nicolas, the sons of Christian Gros.
Julien, who was a former manager and winemaker of estates in Nuits-Saint-Georges and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, looks after the winemaking, while Nicolas oversees the work in the vineyard and the administration.
The estate itself spans across 11.5 hectares from Nuits-Saint-Georges to Aloxe-Corton, producing over a dozen cuvées, including two Premiers Crus and five Grands Crus. Its cellar is located in Premeaux-Prissey.
The Gros brothers are committed to protecting their land and sustainable development, and adapt their farming methods appropriately. Grapes are manually harvested and sorted before undergoing whole bunch fermentation and being aged for 12 to 14 months in 228L and 500L two year old barrels.
Wines are available exclusively by allocation.
